We apologize for the delay in releasing Developer Update XI. Despite a productive November, we encountered a few slowdowns. Eammon, went through a relocation, and the holiday season meant that many of our developers took time off to be with their families. However, we still made some great progress, and we're excited to share our achievements with you!
User Interface & Programming
Chris Comstock We've been working hard on polishing up the Combine and Citizen loadout screens, making sure everything looks good and works smoothly for launch day. We've also enhanced the apartment features with a new interfaces. Plus, we've added a new arrest feature. Now, Combine players can arrest Citizens in the game. And if you're playing as a Citizen, you can try to resist getting arrested depending on how much health you have left. If you do get caught, we made it easier for Combine players to move prisoners around.
PngNoRe Thanks to PNG for designing the eye-catching thumbnail for C17 and crafting the initial set of item icons that we're excited to feature in the game.
Kudos to Asetasar for significant advancements in developing the Combine Radio System. This innovative communication tool enables Combine players to coordinate seamlessly within their respective divisions, while also granting division leaders the capability to broadcast announcements both to their teams and to the entire Combine force. Additionally, the system includes a global server-wide broadcast feature. While we have finalized this system, we're saving the big reveal for the next developer update, as we've been fine-tuning some additional features throughout December.
We acknowledge that this might be our briefest developer update so far, but that's because we have some fantastic revelations just on the horizon. We've completed several features that we've intentionally decided to hold back from this update. We believe the finishing touches we applied in December deserve a grand unveiling, so we're saving those announcements for Developer Update XII. Stay tuned for some exciting news!
